 WELCOME TO

The online voice of the

T.S.VINDICATRIX ASSOCIATION INC.

NSW-ACT BRANCH

***

A part of the Vindi family

A branch of the worldwide

Training Ship Vindicatrix Association

A Website that we hope will interest not only Vindi Boys, but all those who

'WENT TO SEA'

And, of course, those who are lucky and young enough to still be

'GOING TO SEA'

But especially all those Pommy blokes (and the two Aussies that we know of)

who, like us, went to the Vindicatrix Sea School.

*****

THE T.S.VINDICATRIX

Lay in this peaceful and picturesque backwater of the

Sharpness to Gloucester canal from 1939 to 1967

*****

During that time some 76,000 15 to 17 year old hopeful

boys trod her decks to receive basic training  before

being sent to sea.

*****

This site is dedicated to all those Vindi Boys but

Especially to those boys who in times of war went

eagerly to sea never to return home again.

Sadly due to the loss of the Vindi's records we shall

never know who or how many Vindi Boys never came back.

They are remembered only by their families
